Adobe Flash is a multimedia platform currently developed and distributed by Adobe. Flash is a popular method for adding animations and interactivity to web pages. Using Flash you can also create games, software and other useful applications and it’s commonly used to create animation, advertisements and various web pages.

The .swf format files also called “ShockWaveFlash” files are objects on a web page and are played in Flash Player. A self playing flash movie has an .exe extension and does not require a flash player to be played. A file with .exe extension is also called an executable.

If you like screen savers to protect your screen from burn-ins or just to view nice pictures you need to run the .scr or screen saver file.

If you wish to convert your flash to executable or screensaver you’ll be glad to know that there special software that will help you do so. One such software available is SWF Maestro. This software will help you convert your swf file to exe or swf to svr. All you need to do is to compile the swf as exe or svr. You also have the option to generate exes that include blank or transparent backgrounds. A trial version of the software is downloadable on their home page.
